Darren Cullen is an award winning graffiti artist from London. He began his craft in the early 1980s and has painted murals across the country. For those 'in the know' Darren, or SER as he is better known, is widely regarded as one of the kings of English graffiti and a pioneer of the 'London Style' perfected by graffiti artists in the eighties and early nineties.
Realising what a powerful tool the graffiti art form is Darren set about putting his talents to good use in 2001 and has not looked back since. The first projects he became involved with were workshops teaching young people painting techniques and how to express themselves through art in a safe environment; something he is still actively involved with to this day. It didn't stop there, however. Darren also began painting murals for government funded initiatives, national train companies and local authorities across the country. Things kept growing, as did his impressive client list and eventually Darren started getting requests for graffiti artists in Manchester, Leicester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow as well as London and several other towns and cities up and down the UK. In response Darren formed a team comprising of airbrush artists, graphic designers, tattooists and youth workers each sharing the common bond of being some of the country’s top graffiti and street artists. He called them the Graffiti Kings.
Darren now works with this team meeting the needs of his clients through workshops, mural and street art, marketing and advertising projects to even graffiti birthday cards or any brief that requires talented artists to meet a certain vision.
